India festival to host 'The Human Comedy'

The movie ‘The Human Comedy’ directed by Mohammad-Hadi Karimi has been picked to screen at the Iranian Film Festival in India.

The film will be screened alongside others from Iran in the three-day event, which will take place in the Indian city of Nagpur from March 30-April 1.

‘The Human Comedy’ happens in contemporary history, narrating the story of a man who tries to blend into the surrounding society and faces a strange fate.

Manifesting four stages of the main character’s life, the movie includes four generations of the Iranian cinema thespians.

Alireza Shojanouri, Houman Seyyedi,  Arman Darvish, Leila Zare, Hasti Mahdavifar play in the movie.

The Iranian Film Festival in India will also hold a panel discussion on ‘Understanding Iranian Cinema and Its Development’.

The festival has been organized in association with Cine-Montage and Chitnavis Centre, and has been conceptualized by the Cultural House of the Republic of Iran in India and the Federation of Film Societies of India.
